NexCore is a dual-cure core build-up material made of Barium glass and high density Ytterbium Trifluoride (YbF3) fillers embedded along with fumed silica in a Bis-GMA & TEGDMA based composite matrix. Dual syringe composition of base and catalyst paste can either be light cured or self cured in the absence of photo-activation.

Once set, the cured resin offers a flexural strength in excess of 115.52 MPa and very low water solubility of 2.3 µg/mm³. NexCore has a working time of 90-140 seconds and a resonable setting time 4-5 minutues against self curing for a comfortable handling and application.
